Growing up, whenever somebody would ask me: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, my first answer was always that I wanted to be a writer. As I got older and discovered my passion for education, my answer grew to include teaching. Now, I write for fun, I work in an independent bookstore, and I have shifted my focus away from teaching in a traditional classroom in favor of getting to work one-on-one with students to develop their reading and writing skills. In my free time, I love to take nature walks, swim, and try new recipes!
